How to use Buspar
BuSpar should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Dosage is individualized. The usual maintenance dose is 15 mg in the morning and 15 mg in the evening (30 mg/day). The goal of treatment is to relieve your symptoms of anxiety; BuSpar dosage may need to be adjusted by your doctor to reach this goal. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 60 mg per day.
Buspar Side Effects
People usually report few side effects from BuSpar. Those most commonly reported are mild and include dizziness, nausea, headache, and lightheadedness. Less common side effects include abnormal movement, such as restlessness or uncontrolled movements of face or neck muscles. If you experience any of these less common side effects, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
Buspirone is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to buspirone hydrochloride.
Buspirone is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic or severe renal impairment.
